Updated. I remember a couple of years ago when a little game called Mirror’s Edge came out for the Xbox 360 and PS3; I also

Today we got the chance to hang out with the fine folks at Disney and check out Tron on iPhone for the first time. Our anticipation for Tron was high, since the original from the 1980’s was regarded as one of the best games of its time.
Tron as iPhone as it stands, is a top [...]

Today Pat and myself got to sit down with Happynin Games to talk about what they have coming along soon for our iPhone and iPads. They are a small company that works with students from USC to take their ideas and turn them into a reality. They officially started putting games on the app store [...]

Today we got a brief visit with the fine folks at Artificial Life to check out their new iPhone games that are being brought to iPad. They didn’t have playable builds of the games, but they did bring plenty of screen shots so we could see how their artists were doing with the much more [...]

Gameloft has come correct this year at E3. They showed approximately 100,000 games to us; so it was a lot to take in. One of my most anticipated games was Dungeon Hunter 2, and I had my fingers crossed that it wouldn’t disappoint.

Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior is a game that kind of surprised me when it suddenly appeared in the app store.

If you’re an old school gamer, then I’m sure you have some appreciation for top down shooters. Back in the day they were the staple of arcades everywhere. You hopped into your virtual plane and/or spaceship, and went to town on thousands of bad dudes. Well Roswell HD hopes to scratch that old school itch, [...]

The iTunes app store has consistently had a solid amount of racing games right from day 1. It began with more simple cart racers and has since advanced to full 3d games, with graphics that often times make me forget that I am playing on a portable device. In terms of console racers, Need for [...]

Today I got the opportunity to head to Venan Entertainment, to check out their new game, Ninjatown. Venan are the guys who brought us Space Miner, which we at TouchGen gave a perfect 5 star review, so the pedigree is definitely there. Once I made the connection, my hopes were pretty high.

If a game copies another game, is that necessarily a bad thing? I tend to think not, if they improve upon the original idea. Valet Hero LE definitely copies a certain game that involves you drawing lines and leading vehicles to a certain location. The question is, does it just copy it, or does it [...]

The game that really put shooters on the map on the iPhone was gameloft’s NOVA. I have always been a huge naysayer of first person shooters on iPhone, and of any game that uses on screen joysticks in general, but NOVA showed me that with enough thought and planning, it can be done. That said, [...]

The iPad has been on the market for a couple of weeks now, and we have all had some time to play a few games and really see where the device is going. I myself played around 10 really solid games in the first week alone, and have already given a game a 5 star [...]

One thing the iPad brings to the table, that the iPhone and iPod Touch never could is same device multiplayer. The screen on the other devices is just too small to have multiple people wiping their fingers along the screen. Globetrotters looks to make good use of this extra screen real estate by delivering the [...]

Since I purchased my iPad I have been playing mostly full 3d action games, so when QuantZ came in for review I was looking forward to playing a nice relaxed puzzler. When I saw that it was actually a pretty original concept I was more excited.
QuantZ is kind of like a piece matching game, but [...]

Since Enigmo Deluxe isn’t really a sequel to Enigmo, I’m not going to write a review, because that just seems redundant. That said, I still think it right to at least write a little bit about my experiances with the expanded and tweeked iPad exclusive version of Enigmo; because, well I’m the iPad guy, so [...]

I finally feel that I have spent enough time with Warp Gate to review it; my first impressions were very high, but how does the game stack up after spending more time with it?
If you looked at the categories of this article, you may notice that Warp Gate falls into a whole load of genres. [...]
