PuzzleQuest 1.1 on the way

According to my good friends at Kotaku, a patch for PuzzleQuest is on the way. They have spoken to Trans Gaming about the issue of character’s being deleted and it is being taken care of in this update. If you lost a character than worry no more because they are in the system and they will be brought back once 1.1 goes live. It has been submitted to apple so in the next few days we should see the update show up. I’m also going to hold off on the review of the game until the update is released, as it is claimed to have graphical fixes as well, so as soon as the update goes live, look for the iPGN review!

Chuck the ball

chuck_screenshot_1The iPhone is no stranger to puzzle games, in fact it’s pretty much the go-to device for any puzzle fans. Of course, amongst all these puzzlers there are hundreds if not thousands of un-original, un-inspired, or simply dull games. And, likewise, there are gems, like the recently released EDGE which all of us at iPGN HQ are gushing over! Needless to say we get many puzzlers sent to us for review, and today is no different. In amongst that pile, a cute little puzzler called ‘Chuck the ball’ by Makeshift Games peaked my interest. It might be the cute graphics or the Chu Chu Rocket style gameplay, or simply that I’m in a good mood ;). Anyway, read on for a video of the game in action. [Read more →]

New/old GTA contender coming
to iPhone (updated with video)

Apex Designs are bringing their GTA style game ‘Payback’ to iPhone. Originally released in the US for the Gameboy Advance back in 2005. The game was well known for pushing the GBA graphically to it’s limits. Apart from the obvious graphical upgrades, not much is known yet on how the iPhone version of game differs from the GBA version, but it looks likely that it will be a port of the currently available GP2X version. With Car Jack Streets also on it’s way from TAG, 2009 looks like a good year for some serious criminal action on the iPhone. Read on for screens and video (GP2X version). [Read more →]

Sim City Review

Review by Dave LeClair

Sim City is easily one of my most anticipated games for the iPhone, so when it finally came out and I got my review copy I was really excited to say the least. When you are looking forward to a game this much there’s only one place your final opinion of it can go, and that is down right? Wrong, Sim City lives up to my expectations in almost every way. Read on to find out why. (read to the end for a free bonus) [Read more →]
