PuzzleQuest 1.1 on the way

According to my good friends at Kotaku, a patch for PuzzleQuest is on the way. They have spoken to Trans Gaming about the issue of character’s being deleted and it is being taken care of in this update. If you lost a character than worry no more because they are in the system and they will be brought back once 1.1 goes live. It has been submitted to apple so in the next few days we should see the update show up. I’m also going to hold off on the review of the game until the update is released, as it is claimed to have graphical fixes as well, so as soon as the update goes live, look for the iPGN review!

Dusktreaders MMO/FPS?

dusktreadersGranite games have released the mobile edition of Dusktreaders a tilt controlled FPS. On their website they mention an MMO, but we’re not sure if it’s a separate game to this.

“From the world of the Dusktreaders MMO, explore the fast paced city of New Hexborough armed with silver bullets and a sword where zombies, skeletons, and werewolves lurk around every corner. “

The graphics look a little basic, but we’ll happily welcome any FPS right now… it’s not exactly a crowded genre on iPhone. [Read more →]

ff1Crystal Defenders is a tower defense style game set in the Final Fantasy universe, with characters such as Mages and soldiers based mainly from FF Tactics A2. Soul Trapper: Episode 1 review

Review by Nigel Wood

Soul Trapper: Episode 1 by Realtime Associates is a unique game on the iPhone. Almost completely audio based, the game is best described as an interactive novel. You play as Kane Price, a bit of a loser who has inherited a machine from his dead/ or missing father. The machine is called the Soul Trap, and with the help from a friend of your fathers, you take on the roll of both Ghost buster and Detective in this action thriller. [Read more →]

Final Fantasy coming to iPhone

Famitsu reported this week that Square Enix is developing its first game for iPhone. ‘Crystal Defenders’ is based in the Final Fantasy universe and is dubbed as a defense simulation, so look for something along the lines of Final Fantasy Tactics meets Tower defense.
