Square’s Crystal Defenders out now!


ff1Crystal Defenders is a tower defense style game set in the Final Fantasy universe, with characters such as Mages and soldiers based mainly from FF Tactics A2. The game consists of 300 stages across three difficulty levels. All controls are obviously touch based, and the graphics seem on par with the SNES/Gameboy and DS tactics look and feel. Sim City First Impressions

Who’s the Braineous-ist?

Similar in style to games such as Big Brain Academy on the DS, it challenges you with mind bending puzzles, math problems, memory games, and shape matching, designed to find out how smart you are. Fieldrunners Review

Fieldrunners sits comfortably as one of the original, and highest rated tower defense game on the App Store. This is for good reason! This game will suck you in! Final Fantasy coming to iPhone


Famitsu reported this week that Square Enix is developing its first game for iPhone. ‘Crystal Defenders’ is based in the Final Fantasy universe and is dubbed as a defense simulation, so look for something along the lines of Final Fantasy Tactics meets Tower defense. With many final fantasy games have somewhat of a rebirth on the touch screen Nintendo DS lets hope Square look to bring more of their franchises over to iPhone. KinWits Review

Around half of the games on the AppStore right now are puzzle games. It’s an over crowded genre, but at the same time a testament to how well suited the iPhone is to gaming. After all, with puzzles doing so well on pda’s and now the DS, with its touch screen the iPhone is the obvious choice for puzzlers, allowing direct input. With all the Sudoku, match three, solitaire and pears games out there… it’s nice to see a developer bend your mind in a new and original way. [Read more →]

Following the same gamplay as most tower defence games, you must strategically place your turrets on the map so that you can take out the onslaught of enemies attempting to take your base. Meet Spore creator


If you are near Apple’s Regent Street store in London on September 3rd, you may want to pop in at 3:00 pm, where you’ll have a chance to meet Will Wright for inside look into Spore. There’s no word yet on whether the iPhone version will be demoed, but here’s hoping.
