You play as a customizable jumper, and your job is to fly through [...]

iSoccer Backstreet review thumbnail

Before we begin, people expecting a fully fledged soccer game will be disappointed. So, please leave that thought at the door.
iSoccer Backstreet is a collection of soccer inspired mini games, where it’s all about the style and skill, and less about ‘The Beautiful Game’ itself.
The bulk of the game plays a little like a dance [...]

International athletics review thumbnail

Back in 1983, Track and field was released into arcades. The button mash-tastic game was responsible for many a bruised finger. So has International athletics for iPhone hopped, skipped and jumped into the future of gaming, or been left in the sand of mediocrity?

X2 Soccer/Football 2009 review thumbnail

Soccer games tend to be either all about the graphics or all about the gameplay. My favourite soccer game is still Sensible Soccer for the Amiga. I have followed the evolution on PC and consoles, Fifa 95 was really good, Fifa 98 even better with the Blur Song 2 as theme song. Then came a [...]

E3: iPhone Tony Hawk 2 is REAL! thumbnail

When a random video of Tony Hawk 2 being played on the iPhone was released a few weeks ago, it was met with a lot of skeptisism. This was with good reason, as a fully functioning port of the original Tony Hawk: Pro Skater 2 game fits well into the “too good to be true” category of iPhone games. It also seems like a game that would be difficult to pull off on the iPhone.

E3: Real Tennis 2009 Hands On thumbnail

[More...] I just got done playing Real Tennis by Gameloft, and I can tell you that it looks fantastic. The game is much more detailed than previous tennis games on the iPhone, with very fluid movements and animations. The game features 7 different stadiums with 3 different play fields (clay, grass, and synthetic), all modeled after real arenas. The type of field will actually impact gameplay.
