Fish Labs are bringing their award winning mobile space shooter ’Galaxy on fire’ to iPhone.
Below we have the first screens of the game running on iPhone… and I have to say it’s looking pretty sweet. There’s a touch of Battlestar Galactica about the ship designs that I like, as well as a hint of Wing Commander.
According to the Fish Labs, the game feature over 20 hours of game play, across hundreds of planets and space stations. You can choose from 10 unique ships, which can be upgraded with various weapons and defensive add-ons. The iPhone edition features updated graphics as well as an interface overhaul.
The story sees you starting small, performing menial tasks, but soon you’ll be promoted to more challenging missions and eventually engage with an evil alien race called the Vossks.
The game is due out at the end of March, so stay tuned for more info as we get it, but for now check out the screens below.

Wow, that does look good.
Looks like a great control scheme, too. It’ll be nice to have another space shooter that doesn’t require use of the accelerometer. Especially since this one looks like it will offer mission variety and a story line.
