Apex Designs are bringing their GTA style game ‘Payback’ to iPhone. Originally released in the US for the Gameboy Advance back in 2005. The game was well known for pushing the GBA graphically to it’s limits. Apart from the obvious graphical upgrades, not much is known yet on how the iPhone version of game differs from the GBA version, but it looks likely that it will be a port of the currently available GP2X version. With Car Jack Streets also on it’s way from TAG, 2009 looks like a good year for some serious criminal action on the iPhone. Read on for screens and video (GP2X version).

looks pretty good doesn’t it. Although GTA has come on leaps and bounds over the years I do still think the first two hold a certain charm and would be perfect for quick blasts on the move.

If this game is like those but with better graphics (which is what it appears to be) then I’m sold.
