Memphis, Tenn. (December 26, 2008) – In time for the holidays, ThumStruck is now available on the iPhone App Store. ThumStruck is the first iPhone game application powered by RESOLUTE Games Corp.

“We’ve collected ten of the best songs we could find, and we’ve put them in one great game,” says RESOLUTE CEO Chris Przybyszewski. “When ThumStruck Free hit the App Store, we were overwhelmed with comments via the App Store, via our website, and via our Facebook and MySpace pages. We listened to what people were saying: more music, better game play. We’ve given them both of these things.”

thumbstruck-screenThumStruck features an eclectic mix of indie and established musicians, performing original works. Included on the list are:

*Lanky, a singer-songwriter out of Nashville, Tennessee, has been compared to “John Mayer, and Sting with a dose of Jeff Buckley,” by ”Performing Songwriter”. In ThumStruck, Lanky performs “Falling Hard for the Girl” and “Everything That”, both from his CD “Odd Hour Work Week”.

*The American Guitar Institute is a Memphis-based musician group who created the “ThumStruck Theme” and “Ex Nihilis” both for ThumStruck.

*Also out of Memphis comes an instrumental version of Skillet’s ”Vapor” from their hit album “Alien Youth”, as produced by Ardent Records, LLC. Skillet is a grammy-nominated Christian Rock powerhouse who has had four songs hit the American top 50.

*ThumStruck’s second representative from Ardent Records is California’s All Together Separate, whose instrumental of “Bring It On” first appeared on the band’s CD “Unusual”.

*Los Angeles-based Waiting 4 Wyatt’s music has appeared on MTV’s “Meet the Barkers” and multiple other television shows including “Cheyenne”, ”Tiara Girls”, “My Own”, “Parental Control”, “Next”, “Underage and Engaged”, “My Super Sweet 16″, and “The X-Effect”. Featured on ThumStruck is the band’s second CD title-track “Nowhere But Up” as well as “Falling Apart” from the same album.

*Cinetrope’s “Inside My Head” comes to ThumStruck out of Atlanta, Georgia, where the indie-band has performed for years. The group expects their second album to be released soon.

*Bringing a dose of pop R&B to the group is Az One out of St. Louis, Missouri. This sister-duo of Niambi & Ayanna Rowland sing “Eyez on Me.”

There are three difficulty levels per song (30 playable tracks in all), and the higher the difficulty, the higher the score. Game play is simple. Players time thumstrucks with the music, exploding elemental orbs as they pass the bar of the corresponding color (Blue = Ice; Yellow = Fire; Red = Lightning).

Other features include an in-game tutorial, animation feedback on hits and misses, and score multipliers for successive hits. As well, players can record their high scores and challenge themselves through the three difficulty levels to reach their own personal bests. If players enjoy the music, they can click in-game links to purchase the
music via iTunes or a similar online purchase device.
